Robot Brothers Walkthrough

A lot of people ask me what software I use? How do I make the 3d style text? And what is my basic workflow. I thought the best way to answer would be to show a simple walkthrough.

Now, this is not a tutorial, but those with atleast an intermediate knowledge of photoshop should be able to read between the lines. All you need is a copy of Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

I start by using Adobe Illustrator.

Then I move over to Photoshop. Create a NEW document and individually move each element into my photoshop document.

  1. Very cool Daniel! how did you do the 3d rope? and who is carter? the robot? 😀

The rope, to put it simply, was done in photoshop using the pen tool, clone tool, and layer settings. Then duplicated, blurred, then adjusted the opacity and transparency modes. Not much really, just enough finesse to fake it.
